Aaron Shust "Take Over"
This has been a whirl wind two weeks!! I found myself this morning just crying out these words!! My heart, mind and body are tired, but also so alive! I gained some wonderful insight from a friend during a conversation this week about how God's using my wreck and the loss of my dog to prepare me to leave.
The past few weeks I've been having dreams about death and I realized that it was part of me realizing that soemthing is dying in my life. Not that its going away forever but part of this process for me is to let go of my life here and the comfort that it brings. My friend pointed out through our conversation "Its like God's taking away possessions that are part of your life here to show you that you're moving on and that you're still Alex but you're starting new." I found comfort in these words because this is so true to life. We are still us at our deepest core no matter where we are and what is surrounding us and the important things of life will remain, God will remain. I think God is definitely teaching me these things in a very tangible way.
I find myself crying out to the Lord- Take over me-Take my heart and give me your passions. I want to live the way you want me to live. I am mourning leaving my life here in the Sates but I know that God will sustain. He is the ultimate Sustainer. I also find myself so so very excited to be in San Jose living life with kids. I can't wait to start building relationships with kids again! I had a dream the other night in Spanish and living in a house with all the Costa Rican Vida Joven (Young Life) leaders! It was so wonderful to wake up to those thoughts. God's exciting my heart to be there as I've been praying!
I am still praying to leave by the end of March. I am $850/ month away with my annual budget to being there!! I trust that the funding will come in God's time!!

GOD is just helping you pack your bags honey. He knows you're anxious to go.He also knows you will be back and has left your friends and family here to keep your place.I'm so sorry to hear about Bubba.
