Spring is upon us! Chairs and cars are tinted yellow. Everyone's sneezing. Birds are chirping. Flowers are budding and opening up. Trees are green again with new life!
"The old creation is gone, behold the new creation has come!" 1 Corinthians 5:17
The Lord has been reminding me of this truth through His word and His creation. We are new creations in Christ. I've been challenged by this truth the past several months, thinking about, am I living as a new creation in Him? I know and believe I am new, but it is easy to slide back into my old way of living and not claiming who I am in Christ. Christ declares we are His adopted, beloved children, His heirs. I, too often, forget this and go along living as an orphan and forget how loved I am by my Heavenly Father. This is the message I pray that kids know and feel deep in their hearts. I pray that high school students would know that they are loved and cherished by God despite where they come from or what they've done.
This Spring we are running hard with and after kids!
In the past month, I started helping with the track team at Bluffton High. I am the official time keeper haha. It's been a great way to meet more students and different groups of kids. I am excited to see where the Lord leads these relationships in the months to come. As a YL team, we are in the midst of crazy camp sign ups, which means leaders are chasing down kids. I have spent time with kids of all walks of life trying to get yes's and get them on the bus!

A few highlights from some recent YL clubs on Monday Nights!
A few weeks back as I pulled out of the parking lot of Bluffton High, I was overwhelmed with gratitude of the Lord and how He's opened up so many doors into kids' lives. He's allowed me a way into the latino kids' world through the ESOL classroom. Just a few weeks ago I got to present Young Life to the class and share a bit of my story! Also, part of this class period, I was able to learn some of their stories and there are some tough ones. Please pray for my immigrant friends as they face threats of being kidnapped or family members disappearing, and looming returns to prison.
In addition to all of this, the kids I've known for a few months now are finally starting to get it. We are discipling kids and praying they would get a heart for their friends and the school. And they are finally saying 'hey come meet my friend so you can invite them to camp!!' Please pray for my friends to be bold in inviting and asking their friends to experience life to the full with them!

Please pray for us as we continue to chase kids and get them on the bus to camp! We promise kids it will be the best week of their lives, because we know they will experience life to the full and hear the greatest love story ever told about Jesus. Please pray for more leaders to reach this large school of kids who need to know they are loved. Please pray for wisdom in how to love and bridge the gap between all the different kids I know!
